Senior Business Analyst


  • Perform SWOT analysis on the existing and new business models of the FMCG (fast-moving-consumer-goods) industry;
  • Chief liaison between Finance and Sales & Marketing to close the expectation gap on data / information processing;
  • Create and develop detailed documentation including workflows, policies and user guide for effective implementation;
  • Conduct market survey at regular basis to gauge our products competition;
  • A&P Management: to perform 360 degree business analysis on the monthly A&P (advertising and promotions) activities and evaluate proposals for business strategic planning;
  • Review and document existing business process, system flows & procedure on a periodical basis and to ensure the internal controls on the trade returns bad stock write-off are proper and adequate;
  • Financial Reporting:  Provide relevant financial and operational information in support of  sales forecasting, product & customer P&L management and top and bottom line tracking;
  • Responsible to identify trends, explain variances from Margin analysis, Costing analysis, Product sku/Sales mix analysis  on significant transactions against prior year’s results and budget for business performance review with succinct commentaries for follow-up actions;
  • Provide key insights, sales and marketing programmes and recommendations in tandem with the Group strategic growth plans after every business visit and market survey on the customers’ requirements.
  • Prepare management reports during month end accounts close.
  • Backup Credit Control and Account Receivables collection activities when the need arises.


  • Recognized Bachelor Degree(s) in Business/Statistics/Computer Science/Decision Science/ Mathematics/ Finance or any professional examinations such as CIMA or ACCA;
  • Experienced in developing statistical models in the FMCG industry. Segment marketing and product management experience will be an added advantage;
  • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience preferably with exposure in consumable products & FMCG environment;
  • Ability to speak, read and write Mandarin and English;
  • Ability to build strong business relationships with multiple internal organizations and customers;
  • Possess good communication and presentation skills;
  • Must be a self-starter, independent with strong analytical and problem solving and analytical skills and willingness to undertake multi-tasks and work under tight schedule;
  • A number of years of practical experience in any internal audit will be an added advantage;
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Butterworth and with ability to travel within East & West Malaysia on a regular basis.
