Costing Manager

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform financial impact analysis related to accounting and costing methodology changes;
  • Manage the inventory forecasting, reporting and inventory trend analysis;
  • Lead and establish processes for periodic standard cost revaluation;
  • Maintain accounting policies, procedures and controls;
  • Develop, analyse, evaluate and report of product margin and manufacturing cost variance, thereby recommend pricing strategy to business team;
  • Initiate & recommend of cost control/reduction alternatives;
  • Conduct cost impact feasibility study on new projects / product developments, new capital investments and other manufacturing cost analysis projects for Management’s decision-making;
  • Responsible for the costing of all businesses both existing and potential and that any quotes in price negotiations are in line with the company’s goals and objectives;
  • Responsible for the Group Budgetary Control and identifying to Management significant variances and to recommend action plans to improve financial performance;
  • Overseeing the Group Taxation computation and corporate tax planning matters;
  • Responsible for Group Treasury functions including cash flow projection, hedging & foreign exchange exposure and forecasting.
Job Requirements
  • Professional accounting qualification i.e. CIMA / MICPA or Professional Degree in Finance /Accounting majoring in Management Accounting with minimum of 8 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment;
  • A member of MIA or any overseas professional accounting body;
  • Strong practical and conceptual knowledge of management accounting and finance;
  • Advanced application knowledge of spreadsheet i.e. MS Excel and strong modelling skills;
  • Solid analytical skills with business acumen and ability to step back from the details and analyse on a holistic approach;
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills;
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels across the company hierarchy and develop effective working relationships;
  • Self-motivated, committed and organized;
  • Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) environment;
  • Strong sense of initiative, integrity and accountability.
